DRIP DESIGN OF DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEM DESIGN

Drip irrigation is the name used to describe irrigation systems that utilize a flexible hose that has emitters at regular intervals that deliver drops of water to the soil that surrounds the roots of the landscape plantings. Drip systems may be better described as water efficient irrigation system design. These systems may include drip line, emitters, flexible hose, and various other heads and fixtures to deliver water efficiently reducing the draw on the Florida Aquifer and other water sources.

SPRINKLER SYSTEM DESIGN

At Florida Irrigation Design we offer sprinkler system design, this is the term that has historically described traditional irrigation systems that spray water into the air and onto plantings. These traditional systems are perceived as being inefficient as the water that is being sprayed onto or at the plantings can sometimes be redirected. This redirection may be through wind, broken nozzles or other mechanical interference. A thoughtful sprinkler system design can alleviate many of these concerns and deliver water quite efficiently.

SPRINKER LAYOUT

Landscape Irrigation system design is sometimes referred to as sprinkler layout. This term describes the layout of the sprinkler heads that will be providing the specified amounts of water to specific plantings. The sprinkler layout and head placement takes into consideration the head that will be used which is selected by considering many factors such as space, required water throw distance, height of proposed or existing plantings, width of space and saturation levels desired. There are various other factors that are considered in the overall system design that result in a highly efficient irrigation system.
